Brit Awards 2018 ceremony will take place on February 21, at London’s O2 Arena. The night of entertainment has got many entertaining performances lined up for the fans. The show is likely to feature enthusiastic performances by the popular singers.

Famous singer Justin Timberlake will set the stage on fire with his performance at Brit Awards 2018. Other singers who will take to the stage for performing on their super hit songs are the Stormzy, Foo Fighters and Rag ‘n’ Bone.

Such a speculation is likely to arise due to the Grammys and Golden Globe Awards ceremony 2018 that talked about women empowerment and raised the voice against the issues like discrimination on the basis of gender race and religion.

This year a woman singer Dua Lipa is the leading nominee with nods in five different categories.

Dua Lipa has received nominations in the categories like British Album of the Year, British Breakthrough Artist, and British Artist Video of the Year, British Single and British Female Solo Artist. Shape of You singer Ed Sheeran is following Dua Lipa with nods in four categories. He has received nomination for British Artist Video of the Year, British Male Solo Artist, British Album of the Year and British Single.  Ed Sheeran has already won the Grammy Awards in two categories including, best pop solo performance for Shape of You and Best pop vocal album for Divide.

Drake, Childish Gambino, DJ Khaled, Beck and Kendrick Lamar have received nominations in International Male Solo Artist category, while Alicia Keys, Pink, Bjork, Lorde and Taylor Swift have received nomination in International Female Solo Artist Category.

Brit Awards History

Brit Awards are the annual pop awards of British Music industry. The first ceremony was held 1977. From 1982 to onwards the Awards are held annually. British Music Club sponsored the Awards in its earlier day and BRITS represented the British Record Industry Trust Show. The name Brit Awards was restored in 1989.

Emma Willies had announced the Brit Award nominees during BBC live broadcast on 13 February. ITV1 will show the live Broadcast of the Brit Awards 2018. International audience can watch the red carpet coverage through Facebook and awards ceremony through the YouTube broadcast.
