Pakistani filmmaker Usman Mukhtar’s film bench has made it to the Cannes International Independent film festival. The short film which is written by Ali Murad seems promising as per the initial reviews. Usman who has recently appeared in several hit Pakistan dramas has been grateful to his fans for applauding him on his brilliant achievement.

What Pakistani Short Film Bench Is All About?

The movie is based on two people who are going through a difficult time in their life, their decisions and choices have led them towards such hardships. They meet on a bench and continue with an intimate conversation regarding certain truths about their lives, as described by the lead actress Rabia Chaudhry. The movie starts with a monologue by the actress herself as she moves on towards a bench. It gives an idea of whether a person can deal with the destiny that has been set for him or explore new ways in order to find the truth of his life. The movie is a depiction of man’s choices and his ability to stick with those choices.

A Sneek Peek into Usman Mukhtar’s Work

Usman Mukhtar is an emerging star in Pakistan who has worked in multiple popular tv shows and films including Anaa, Janaan, Parchi, and Sabaat. Other than being an actor, Usman is also a marvelous director and cinematographer to work in Pakistani showbiz industry. Islamabad based actors whose mother also worked in lollywood in 60s started his career from theatre.
