Miss France now becomes Miss Universe 2017

A 24 years old young woman from Paris, France became the Miss Universe 2017. It was a three hours show televised live from the Philippine capital. The judges had to select a winner from 85 hopefuls where theme of the show was diversity and overcoming life struggles.

The woman, named Iris Mittenaere is pursuing a degree in dental surgery. She was crowned in the 65th edition of this globally popular event.

When asked what she would do if she won the contest, Iris Mittenaere said,

“I was very surprised I won, I feel blessed, to advocate for dental and oral hygiene.”

Her Comments After Winning the Contest

She was jubilated after winning the content. Iris Mitternaere said,

“Miss Universe was a dream, every girl wants to be Miss Universe…the stage is amazing, everything is amazing. I want to help people, I want to understand people, I want to meet people, that’s why this is a dream for me”.

The first runner up of the competition was Raquel Pelissier from Haiti and Andrea Tovar of Colombia came second runner up.

There were thirteen contestants picked up for the swimsuit round in the finals. The competition eliminated many contestants in evening gown segment, making it between six competitors.

The top six who made it to the Miss Universe 2017 were Maxene Medina of the Phillipines, Mary Esther Were of Kenya, and Chalita Suansane of Thailand as other three competitors apart from the winner and the two runner ups.
