While attending the MoffettNathanson Media and Communications Summit on Tuesday Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that the next star wars film after The Rise of Skywalker would be scripted by the exceptional Game of Thrones writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
Star Wars by Game of Thrones Writers
Disney’s CEO Bob Iger while commenting on the fate of the Star Wars franchise stated that they were hard at work on producing one of the biggest fan favorites. Unlike others, they were not going to wait for the release of the final part of the series and then start brainstorming on what’s next for the series.
The next Star Wars film i.e. after the rise of Skywalker will be release in 2022.
Will the writers change The Original Plot?
The movie was originally scripted by George Lucas. The film became an instant hit. The story of Rise of the Skywalker revolves around a young farmer boy named Luke Skywalker, played by Mark Hamill who fights against all the odds to achieve his dreams of becoming a noble knight. In his quest to become a noble, he meets Han Solo played by Harrison Ford and Princess Leia played by Carrie Fisher who helps him in his quest
David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are exceptional writers who at time defy all norms just to set up or create an environment that shows how the character evolves, as the story progresses so nothing can be ,said for sure they may make a few additions or subtraction or even make track changes to the original story to make it more appealing to the modern day audience.
