Yes, we did have our highs and lows. There were times of disappointment and dismay. We could have done better on many fronts. But still, we are here to stay, prosper and grow. On the Independence of Pakistan, each Pakistani must think what we have given to our country. Instead of thinking what has the country given to us. We may still remember the 14 August speech in English that our teachers used to give us to memorize. But unless we truly understand the meaning of the word “Pakistan,” we cannot identify and play our role in the betterment of the country.

Green and White Dresses
Our Cricket and Hockey teams always have some combination of green and white jerseys. On this day, we can also get clothes of green and white color. Even TV anchors and celebrities go green and white on this big day of the nation. It is an excellent way to show our love and patriotism.
Flags, Jhandian, Face Paints, and Badges
You can decorate your homes and offices or other buildings with flags and jhandian (paper flags). Go for face paint by painting it in green and white color. You can also wear badges showing your love and patriotism for the country with patriotic quotes and sayings.
Lighting on 13th of August
Many of us may also choose to arrange for lighting in our homes. The beautiful green and white LEDs make buildings look nice. Governments of different provinces use these lighting arrangements to decorate public buildings on this big occasion.
