Game of Thrones Prequel

Here comes big news for the GOT fans as HBO has officially ordered the Game of Thrones Prequel. Series co-author George RR Martin will co-create the prequel along with Kingsman and Kick-ass screenwriter Jane Goldman.

Game of Thrones Prequel

Game of Thrones Prequel will reportedly document the descent of golden age of heroes into its darkest hours. Till now, not much is known about how the prequel will look like, but it will date back to the thousands of years before the fictional Kingdom of Westeros, depicted in Game of Thrones.

The story of untitled prequel of Game of Thrones is also unknown as the HBO’s logline states, “from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Stark of legend…… it’s not the story we think we know”.

So, it is a surprise for the GOT fans who are probably sad to know that season 8 of the series that will air in 2019 will be the last one.

Five Spin-Offs for Game of Thrones

Every time when the new season of GOT gets released everyone asks, “Where can I watch new Game of Thrones.

Given the tremendous success of Game of Thrones as a TV-series, it was much likely for HBO to come up with a succession plan. The plot of Game of Thrones prequel is just one among the five potential spin-offs. Hence, there are four more projects at work.  Further, the story and the history that the series manifests also leaves much room for a sequel or a prequel. The plot will witness more twists once the myths are debunked.

According to media reports that quote the Jane Goldman, the screenwriter of the show, new series will also have elements of humor and gore. Reports also reveal that apart from Goldman and Brian Helgeland, HBO also hired some writers to work on the prequel.

Waiting for Game of Thrones Final Season to Go Off-Air

Fans might be pretty much excited about the Game of Thrones prequel and knowing about the events that took place thousands of years ago to bring the Starks, Targaryen,  and the kingdom of Westeros to this point. But, they will have to wait at least two years as the new show will probably go on air after the one year of last season of Game of Thrones going off-air. Further, there is no surety that plot of the Game of Thrones prequel will develop into a series and will go on-air. Well, at least there is something that GOT fans can look forward to after their favorite show ends in 2019.
