The world is looking towards Imran Khan as the next Prime Minister of Pakistan. All eyes are set on athlete turned politician who has promised to change his country and place it on the road to development by making it free from corruption. Khan who is a heartthrob of millions across the globe enjoys massive popularity in the neighboring country India due to his charismatic personality and cricketing skills. Perhaps, this is the reason why Indian cricketers may be looking to attend his oath-taking ceremony as well. Imran Khan has also invited few Indian cricketers, reportedly.
Indian Cricketers to Attend Imran Khan’s Oath Taking Ceremony
According to media reports PTI has invited former Indian cricketers Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, and Navjot Singh Sidhu. Amongst these Navjot Singh Sindhu, India’s former opening batsman who is also a politician has reportedly accepted the invitation to attend Imran Khan’s oath-taking ceremony. There were also reports that PTI invited Bollywood actor Amir Khan as well. But Amir Khan told media that he didn’t receive any such invitation.
Dangal actor had once said in a ceremony to visit Pakistan if Imran Khan became Prime Minister. After Khan’s party, PTI emerged victorious in general elections 2018 the video of Amir Khan went viral. Teefa in Trouble star Ali Zafar reminded Amir Khan that time had come for him to visit Pakistan.

Foreign Dignitaries to Vist Pakistan
Speculations were rife that foreign dignitaries from SAARC countries and China would also visit Pakistan including Indian Prime Minister Narender Modi. Later, PTI spokesperson Fawad Chauhdri told media that oath-taking ceremony would be simple and foreign dignitaries will be invited upon discussion with the Foreign Office. According to the latest media reports, no foreign dignitaries from China, India or other SAARC countries will attend new Prime Minister’s oath-taking ceremony.
Imran Khan’s Popularity on Social Media
Imran Khan who is likely to be the next Prime Minister of Pakistan is not only famous among Indian cricketers, but he is also one of the top most popular leaders on social media. He is the 7th highest following on Twitter amongst the world leaders. Soon, after he won elections, his fans started comparing him with Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in term of handsomeness.
