Indian Women Cricketers Shower Bismah Maroof baby with Love

Pakistani women team captain Bismah Maroof arrived with her baby at the World Cup match against India on Sunday, 6th March 2022. Fans lauded the captain for returning to cricket after just giving birth in August last year. 

Even though Pakistan lost the match, the captain and her daughter received plenty of love from the opposition. Heartwarming pictures of long term rivals having fun together kept lighting the social media. The Indian players also took pictures with Maroof’s child and gave her a lot of love.

Indian players Fall in love with Bismah Maroof baby

After thrashing the Pakistani team by 107 runs in their first match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 at Mount Manganui, Indian players posed and played with Fatima, six month old daughter of Bismah Maroof. The sweet gesture won the hearts of many cricket fans.

Plans of Retirement

After becoming a mother, Bismah Maroof planned to retire from International cricket but couldn’t stay away from the game. She returned to lead her country in the 2022 World Cup and received a warm welcome from the Indian cricket team, who enjoyed a nice playtime with the infant.

Maroof got married in 2018 to her cousin Abrar Ahmad. The event went viral on social media with beautiful pictures making rounds. Pakistani and Indian fans both sent their love and regards for the bride.

The Thrilling Match

It was India’s 11th consecutive victory over Pakistan in ODI matches. After winning the toss, India chose to bat and gave a target of 244/7 in 50 overs. Pakistan was almost close to beating the stronger team in the 34th over by bringing the scorecard to 114/6. However, the explosive partnership of Pooja Vastrakar and Sneh Rana added more than 120 runs and made India unstoppable till the end. During defense, Indian bowlers kept Pakistani batters at bay and only Sidra Ameen and Diana Baig were able to score more than 20 runs.
