iPhone X, the next big thing for Apple is out. Tim Cook, CEO of the company, stated that it comes to the market after a decade of work done by Apple on it. The new product comes with an exotic without the physical buttons. The device relies on gesture control for interacting with the User Interface.
Technical Specifications of iPhone X
The new iPhone X comes with the A11 Bionic chip. The six-core CPU design delivers the best performance by any Apple processor so far. It is driven by the Apple GPU with three cores and can power AR at 60 frames per second. It is given more power with machine learning. The phone also comes with Embedded M11 Motion Co-Processor for supporting the gesture controls.
When it comes to photography, iPhone cameras never stop to amaze us with the new and advanced features. It has with a 12 MP back-facing and 7 MP front-facing cameras. The rear camera comes with optical image stabilization. Face ID lets the users securely make payments using True Depth camera. The cameras also pack useful hi-tech like Touch Focus, 8K Image Recording, Smile Detection, Geo-Tagging, HDR, and 4K Video.
The phone deviates from the standard layout. The ditching of the home button gives space to the screen. The screen reaches from one end to the other with a body made of glass and stainless steel. Apple leaves out the curved screen design option, something previous metal body iPhones featured. In case of longevity, Apple says that it is the most durable body a smartphone ever had, reinforced by metal.
iPhone X is setting a precedent for the future models with the OLED display. However, Apple still needs to manage OLED supply chain issues for its future smartphones. The 5.8-inch screen size makes it larger than the screen of iPhone 7 Plus. The increase in the display size would mean more challenges for the iPhone application developers. However, the clarity of the display would deliver fantastic user experience. Absence of a physical home button provides additional screen space to the users. The display of the smartphone remains behind Samsung Galaxy S8. The S8 offers 2960 X 1440 at the rate of 571 pixels per inch. However, the new iPhone offers 2436 X 1125 offers 458 pixels per inch.
Apple advocates that the facial recognition technology makes the phone a lot securer. So, the Facial ID security will replace the Touch ID. The camera comes with up to 60 different masks that you can add to your selfies. Advanced facial recognition technology maps the facial features. These filters can help the camera render different lighting scenarios.
One of the cool features of this smartphone are the Animojis that users can choose. There are dozen different Animojis available. They can record their facial expressions and express them through these Animojis to share with their contacts.
