The Jurors’ verdict ended up favouring him against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, who also didn’t entirely lose the case. She is too awarded money because of winning one of the three claims in the defamation case. The Pirates of the Carrabin star is awarded $15 million, and The Aquaman actress is to be given $2 million.

The legal conflict between the parted Hollywood celebrity couple started on April 11, 2022, when Depp filed a $50 million defamation suit against Heard for an article she published in 2018. Ms Heard Claimed that in 2016, her former husband psychically abused her by throwing a cellphone to her face, but Depp denied the allegations.
Following 13 hours of deliberation, the jury decided that Depp was defamed by his ex-spouse. The court awarded him $5 million in punitive damages and $10 million in compensatory damages. The money against punitive damages was reduced to $350,000 by a Judge.
