England Has Won World Cup but Kane Williamson Has Won Hearts

The dramatic end of the cricket world cup 2019 has taken everyone by surprise. England was lucky enough to win the match after a super over that turned out quite unfortunate for the New Zealand team that seemed a clear winner in the last overs of the match. While fans are happy that England, the home of cricket has finally welcomed a world cup trophy after almost four decades they are also feeling sorry for New Zealand team and particularly its captain Kane Williamson who has shown what does it mean to have a sportsman spirit.

Fans are even questioning ICC game changer rules that might not be good enough to reward the best team and may need a revision.

This is what he is teaching you.

The rules don’t change who is the real hero.

What Happened in Cricket World Cup 2019 Final?

ICC CWC final between New Zealand and England was a historic event due to dramatic turns; it was more like a cinematic entertainment than sports. Both of the team had never won the world cup before and hence were the strong contenders who gave their best to make this achievement. New Zealand team that batted first gave a target of 241 runs that didn’t seem much difficult but it was not even easy considering the pressure each team was facing. In the last overs of England’s batting, the odds were in favor New Zealand as the gap between runs and balls were not so easy to fill.

Later two boundaries just changed the fate and the 50 overs ended up in a tie leading to a super over that too ended in a tie; but due to the ICC rule that team hitting more boundaries in super over in case of a tie, England won the match.

For cricket fans, spectators and anyone even with no knowledge of this game, the situation in the last overs was quite entertaining. But the way Kane Williamson behaved after his team’s loss was simply impressive.
