According to Indian media, several Bollywood stars have contracted the Coronavirus after attending Karan Johar’s birthday party in May. The reports said that around 50 guests were infected, including big names from the film industry. The director turned 50 last month and threw a grand celebration which was graced by the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Aishwarya Rai.
Was Karan Johar’s Birthday Party a COVID Hotspot?
Multiple Indian news outlets began reporting on 5th June that Karan Johar’s birthday party was a COVID super spreader event. They claimed that many guests from the party started testing positive for the virus a few days after attending the bash.
Who is infected?
The exact list of all-stars infected by Coronavirus is unknown, but Indian media mentioned that it included renowned names from Bollywood. Only a few reports confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif tested positive amid a sharp rise in Mumbai cases. Some reports claimed that a lot of Karan Johar’s friends from the film industry tested positive for Coronavirus after the party, but they refused to reveal it.
Karthik Aaryan Testing Positive for COVID-19
Karthik Aaryan was not at Karan Johar’s birthday party but tested positive for COVID. According to reports, one of his heroines with whom he was promoting his upcoming film Bhool Bhulayyan 2 was at the party. Indian media suggested that he got the virus from her.
Recently, Aaryan gave a memorable fan moment to one of his Pakistani admirers Dananeer Mobeen.
