The star-studded ceremony of Lux Style Awards 2018 is all set to take place on February 20, in Lahore. The entertaining night of 17th LSA Awards is likely to bring a lot of surprises this year. Reports suggest that ceremony will act as a platform to voice against the prevalent social issue of child abuse in Pakistan.
It appears that Lux Style Award 2018 has taken inspiration from Golden Globes Awards ceremony that featured a MeToo theme to voice for women empowerment.

Vaneeza Ahmad to Direct LSA 2018
Model, actress and choreographer, Vaneeza Ahmad will direct the show. According to reports the former director, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY) has exited the show which is reportedly facing the budgetary cuts. Before HSY, the ace fashion critic and event manager Frieha Altaf, had directed the show for a long time.
#MaiBhi Themed Lux Style Awards 2018
Recent incidents of child abuse, like Zainab murder case, has shaken the Pakistani society to its core. So, Lux Style Awards Ceremony 2018 is likely to include the segments that will raise the voice on this issue. Reports suggest that Frieha Altaf will host two segments on #MaiBhi that will have taglines of Abhi Nahin to Kabhi Nahin (Now or Never), Hum Nahin to Kon (If not we then who) to convey the message about critical social issues that need to be addressed. Frieha Altaf was also among the celebrities who shared their painful child abuses memories.
Two Life Time Achievement Awards
According to reports by SomethingHaute in Lux Style Awards 2018 two celebrities will receive the lifetime achievement awards. Frieha Altaf and Naheed Siddiqui will receive the titles for their contribution to fashion and culture respectively.
Performances in Lux Style Awards 2018
The reports also suggest that there will be no central host for LSA 2018. Anchorperson, actor, and writer, Vasay Chohdry will write the script, while Lux girls, Mahira Khan, Maya Ali and Urwa Hocane will host a segment. The show will also feature a performance by the famous singer Sahir Ali Bagga.
