Mahira Khan announced her first project as a producer, which will be a web series. The actress posted the first poster of Baarwan Khiladi on her Instagram which made social media users crazy. They jumped when they read “Mahira Khan Presents” on top of the poster and boys in cricket kits below. Pakistan’s beloved actress has exceeded expectations in acting scene and now ready to do a huge project under her new production house.
What Baarwan Khiladi y Mahira Khan Is All About?
Mahira Khan shared minor details about the plot of Baarwan Khiladi. The show will largely feature the game of cricket as the main background of the show. On top of that, it will be filled with drama, love, and inspirational messages particularly for the youth of Pakistan. The actress explicitly said that she has made the show with the main focus on the young and talented people of Pakistan.
She also said that the story will be about friendship, success, failure, love, courage, and everything that comes along with the game, for which this nation is crazy.

According to the reports, this series will include some new and young actors along with some familiar ones. Rumor has it that Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik will be a part of this series in some capacity. Some media outlets reported that Fawad Khan is also rumored to make a cameo appearance at some point in the series. Fans noted that Fawad Khan also hired Mahira in his production debut.
Other than them, young actors include Danyal Zafar, Kinza Hashmi, and Shahveer Jaffery. Danyal is popular singer Ali Zafar’s younger brother, who is working in his second acting project. Before Baarwan Khiladi, it is reported that Daniyal has been also shooting for a special Ramzan drama this year with Alizey Shah. Next, Kinza Hashmi started acting in 2014 with debut in Adhura Milan. She has also received nominations for Best Supporting Actress in Daldal (2017) and for Best Negative Role in Ishq Tamasha (2018).
Last but not the least, a popular Canadian-Pakistani YouTuber Shahveer Jaffery is also part of the main cast. He famous for making funny vlogs and promoting qualities and traditions of desi (brown) people. Baarwan Khiladi will mark Shahveer’s debut as a drama actor. His fans are excited to see him working in a Pakistani web series.
Others who are joining this emerging cast include Meer Yousuf, Khaqan Shahnawaz, Zarar Khan, Hina Ashfaq, Mira Sethi, and the mastermind, Sarmad Khoosat.

Mahira Khan said that Baarwan Khiladi will stream on Pakistani streaming service, Tapmad. Previously, most Pakistani web series appeared on an Indian streaming service, Zee5. These included Mehwish Hayat starrer Enaaya, and critically acclaimed Churails, which crashed the moral compass in Pakistan.
Tapmad TV is a Pakistani streaming platform for over-the-top (OTT) freemium and premium subscription content with high definition (HD). It contains all sorts of VOD (video on demand), movies, sports, and educational content. The news came after Pakistan announced to regulate the content on OTT TV services.
