Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle Is Likely to be Next Netflix Hit

Netflix has finally released the trailer of much anticipated Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle. Andy Serkis, The Lord of Rings has directed the film which will release in limited theatres on November 29 and make it to Netflix on December 7, 2018.

So Captivating Plot of Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle

Apart from breathtaking Jungle scenes, the film offers a captivating plot which might not be so new but indeed has a fresh perspective. It shows a Mowgli torn between two different worlds. A clan of wolves raises him and protects him from antagonist lions but the guy later founds that he belonged to a civilized world of human being. From here begins the story of Mowgli.

Well, there is something going to be so special about Mowgli.

Is He Going to Play a Role of Moderator?

Human beings are a dominating species on Earth due to their intellect. They have also exploited forests, oceans and destroyed the biodiversity. While reports from reputable international bodies are heralding the dangers of climate change, there is a need for a moderate point of view to realize the significance of all the species on Earth. In Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, hero’s role played by Rohan Chand is an enigmatic one. As a subtitle in the trailer mentions, he is torn between choosing Jungle and civilized lifestyle.

In this way, the film is an amalgam of powerful graphics, breathtaking scenes, a compelling storyline, and a thought-provoking plot. It is going to be another one of streaming media’s production which will make it stand apart for something more special than popular Netflix stand up comedy shows.

Cast of Mowgli

A thought-provoking story and captivating cinematography is not the only thing that makes Netflix Mowgli more special. The star-studded film has the mega cast that has beautifully delivered (as it appears in the trailer) the world that Rudyard Kipling mentioned in his writings. Andy Serkis who has also directed the film has played the role of Baloo, Benedict Cumberbatch has played the antagonist Sher Khan, Naomi Harris has played Nisha the Wolf and Cate Blanchett has played the Python.

Drawing Parallels with Disney’s The Jungle Book

Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle is not the very first screen adaptation of The Jungle Book. A lot of work in form of films, comic books and even cartoons for kids has already been done on it. The recent most creation is the Disney’s The Jungle Book which received a huge applause from the audience. The fans are comparing Mowgli trailer with this film, but it seems that Netflix’s film is likely to offer a new perspective to the story.
