91st Academy awards that took place on February 24, Monday at Dobley Theatre in Los Angeles, California saw some surprising wins. Green Book, Bohemian Rhapsody, Black Panther and Roma won big at the event, while British actress Olivia Colman made headlines for her winning speech.

Mahershala Ali became the first Muslim actor to win the Oscar for the best supporting actor in 2017. He has won again in 2019, becoming the first Muslim to win Oscar for best supporting actor. Ali now stands in line with the likes of Daniel Washington for his acting.

Fans were also going gaga over Black Panther taking home three awards. The film has been one of the highest grossing films of 2018.
