What to Expect from Oscars 2022 Ceremony?

The countdown to the 94th Annual Academy Awards is underway, with the audience holding their breaths for their favourite stars and movies to win by the end of the night. Oscars 2022 will be live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on 27th March. It is happening earlier than last year’s event, which was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year it has returned with a full swing with a lot of surprises in store for the audience. Many would wonder what they could expect this year, so here are a few things to learn before the big day.

Oscars 2022 Hosts

Viewers are probably more interested to know who the hosts are because only the hosts can keep the energy flowing throughout the long-running TV program. This is why Oscars 2022 have decided to choose a trio of amazing women that have been making people laugh ever since they appeared on the screen. Regina Hall, Wanda Sykes, and Amy Schumer seem more than ready to take on the stage and host Hollywood’s most significant award function. With these three on the wheel, the audience must be ready for some raunchy comedy and watching their favourite celebrities get roasted on live TV.

Award Presenters

Another exciting thing to watch at Oscars 2022 is the lineup of huge celebrities coming on the stage to present awards to winning stars. Reportedly, the long list of presenters includes John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Bill Murray, Tyler Perry, Anthony Hopkins, Lady Gaga, Wesley Snipes, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jennifer Garner, Samuel L. Jackson, Mila Kunis, Zoë Kravitz, Halle Bailey, Naomi Scott, Woody Harrelson, Stephanie Beatriz, Kevin Costner, Shawn Mendes, Tony Hawk, Josh Brolin, Chris Rock, Rami Malek, Jason Momoa, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Jamie Lee Curtis, J.K. Simmons, and many more.

Will Power of the Dog Take the Cake?

Many movies this year made it into multiple categories, but Power of the Dog scored the most nominations across the board. It bagged 12 nominations, including the Best Picture, Best Actor, and the Best Supporting Roles. Many Hollywood observers and reporters have predicted that this year indeed belongs to this Wild West drama by Jane Campion. They believe that it will win most of the major, if not all, 12 awards. It seems complicated considering how it is contested by heavyweights like King Richard, CODA, and Dune.

Before Oscars 2022, Power of the Dog has already won several other awards, including BAFTA Film Awards, Critics Choice Awards, Golden Globe, and many more.
