The unfortunate plane crash in Australia resulted in killing five people. Four of these people were American citizens as confirmed by the US State Department.

Explosion of the Plane Crash in Australia

Explosion of the Plane CrashThe plane crash in Australia became a catastrophe because of the blast. The plane exploded as soon as it impacted, erupting into big flames.

The people on-board the flight lost their lives, but there were no casualties on the ground. The airplane crash had happened just one hour before the mall was about to open.

The Assistant Police Commissioner for Victoria State said that “There were five people on the airplane and it looks like nobody has survived the crash.”

According to the eyewitnesses, the plane first hit the building before crashing into the mall’s parking lot. The main reason given so far behind the airplane crash in Australia was its engine failure. However, officials have said that it is too early to give an accurate reason behind the actual crash.

The pilot was a veteran aviator in his 60s. Texans Greg Reynolds De Haven and Russell Munsch, two of the victims, have been identified by their families through their pictures shared on the social media. De Haven’s sister shared that his brother, who was 70 years old, lost his life on a lifetime trip to Australia.

The pilot flying the plane was Max Quartermain the owner of the plane charter company Corporate and Leisure Travel.

Assistant Police Commissioner further described the incident as follows.

“Looking at the fireball, it is incredibly lucky that no one was at the back of those stores or in the car park of the stores, that no one was even hurt. The plane was a charter flight to King Island in the Bass Strait between the Australian mainland and the southern island state of Tasmania. It is believed to have come down shortly after take-off.”

There are several false images on social media claiming the aircraft to be an air ambulance.

Essendon Airport

Essendon AirportThe Essendon Airport is a small airport only used by light planes. This airplane crash has not affected the flights in and out of Melbourne’s main airport. Authorities say that it is the worst airplane crash in the state’s history for the last 30 years.
