Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is facing severe backlash for opposing the abrogation of article 370 and 35A. The article had granted Kashmir with the special status under which it could have its own legislative assembly.
What Will Happen After Revocation of Article 370
The revocation of article 370 deprives Indian occupied Kashmir of its special status and it is against the Shmila Agreement as well as UN resolutions on this matter. It has divided Indian occupied Kashmir into two parts administered by the union. It will also allow Indian citizens from other states to buy property in Kashmir posing a danger to the majority Muslim population from extremist Hindus.
Contrary to the BJP’s stance, congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other members of his party are against the abrogation of article 370 and 35A. They feel its abrogation is a clear violation of the Indian constitution.
The Public Seams Ticked
But this is not what many Indians think, ever since the abrogation of these articles Indians have popped open their bottles of Champaign and have taken to the streets to celebrate India’s victory. The so-called patriotic Indians who are fed up with poisonous politicizing stances on Kashmir are labeling the dissidents traitors.
Irrespective of taking into account how the ruling party has shown disrespect for the democratic values they are accusing the opposition of favoring Pakistan’s agenda.
Such is the ignorance for the human rights and the right to the self-determination of the Kashmiri people that pro-BJP folks are wishing to make India free from Congress only because its leader are standing up to the government’s atrocity.

Others feel Indians should just ignore whatever Rahul says as he is not Indian just like his mother Sonia Gandhi who is an Italian politician. So if they speak against the welfare of India, it should not come as a surprise to them at all.
They were simply not able to digest why Rahul Gandhi even stood for India’s constitution.
