Football legends Ricardo Kaka and Luis Figo have arrived in Pakistan to promote the 2019 World Soccer Star event. Pakistani football fans are way more excited to meet the duo consisting of the big names of the soccer world.

Kaka and Figo landed in Pakistan on January 10, 2019. They received a warm welcome upon their arrival. They were also presented with traditional Sindhi Topi and Ajrak at airport.
The Football icons looked awesome in traditional Sindhi attire.
Kaka and Figo will reportedly make a special appearance at Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi where they will talk to a press conference. They will then visit Lahore and meet fans at Packages Mall.
Who Are Kaka and Figo
Ricardo Kaka from Brazil and Luis Figo from Portugal are internationally acclaimed soccer players. Kaka who was also part of Brazil’s world cup winning squad in 2002 has a huge fan following across the globe. Both footballers have come to Pakistan to promote soccer as this country of 220 million people has a huge potential.
Ricardo Kaka and Luis Figo’s visit to Pakistan is not the first incident of international footballers coming to promote soccer. Earlier footballers like Ronaldinho and his friends had landed in Pakistan to play Leisure Leagues with local players.

Pakistan has never qualified for Football World Cup, but the country has no lack of soccer fans. Interest of folks is not limited to mega events like Football World Cup or Euro Cup. In fact, they go crazy after Football leagues happening in Europe and America.
Now, when Ricardo Kaka and Luis Figo are visiting Pakistan to promote this sports there is no end to excitement of fans.

They are here to formally launch World Soccer Stars event. According to media reports, famous singer Akon will also perform in one of the events of World Soccer Star to be held in Lahore and Karachi.
Promotion of Football in Pakistan
There is no lack of talent in Pakistan when it comes to soccer. The youth is also equally passionate about the game. Layari, Karachi’s town known as Little Brazil due to football enthusiasm of its youth is one such example. From the last couple of years, efforts are also being made at institutional level to promote Pakistan in the country. Last year, Coca Cola had organized FIFA World Cup trophy tour in Pakistan prior to the tournament. And, event had received a welcoming response from the fan.
