Tesla semi-truck wows the automotive industry. Besides, the introduction of the new speeding roadster comes a pleasant surprise. The new Tesla sports car will reach from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a never-before-seen 1.9 seconds. If anyone wants to book that new roadster, they would have to make a credit card transfer of $5,000. Rest of the amount of $245,000 will have to be wire transferred in 10 days’ time.
So Why Deposit for the Roadster?
Well, Tesla needs a lot of funds to make that roadster a reality and off from the production line and into the hands of the consumers. Therefore, these resources would help the company ensure timely production and delivery of the sports car. Despite media’s curiosity, Elon Musk chose to dodge the questions and did not share many details.
Not Too Many Details Available on Tesla Semi-Truck or Roadster
The new Tesla semi truck has earned a lot of praise for its impressive looks. Besides the design, it can travel up to 500 miles on a single charge. However, the company would have to create something out the ordinary. The electric trucks in use by the transport industry travel up to 150 miles on one charge.
Many inquisitive minds still wonder how Elon Musk’s new heavy-duty electric truck would travel that distance. Since the vehicle has to go a long distance; it would have to compensate space for the batteries. Similarly, no information is shared for the new roadster’s batteries. The roadster, as per the company statement, would travel at the top of 250 miles per hour.
Similarly, the heavy-duty vehicle will accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 5 seconds. The diesel trucks take 15 seconds for reaching 60 miles per hour from a standstill.
Model 3 Still Marred with Problems
Despite all the glitter of the new vehicles, Model 3 remains a far-fetched dream. Automakers question the ability of Tesla to timely launch Model 3. However, it remains to be seen if Elon’s company would be able to produce and deliver it in high volumes. The question of quality also remains unsolved with a low price product. The management would have to balance between the two priorities of low cost and high quality. The price mark of $35,000 may seem to be a reasonable price for the customers in the US. However, it may not necessarily be easy for the company to compete globally with other car makers.
