Why The Weeknd’s New Album After Hours is Becoming So Popular

The Weekend’s new album “After Hours” has stolen  the no. 1 spot on charts within few hours after release.

This album is the follow up of 2016 released StarBoy and 2018 released My Dear Melancholy.

After Hours is now available on all streaming sites.  It’s been four years since the Canadian Singer professionally known as The Weeknd released his single Starboy. This song had received much praise from fans, fellow artists and by critics also. 

The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’: Album Review

Highly anticipated and record breaking album brought the storm on all music streaming sites, since it dropped out on March 20, 2020.

The singer unveiled the list of 14-song track list of his upcoming album After Hours via instagram few day before release. The track list shared by the singer does not include any features.

This Album includes the trio of his recent singles “Blinding lights”, “Heartless” and “After Hours”. He performed song titles “Hardest to Love,” “Save Your Tears,” and “Until I Bleed Out” and debuted with Daniel Lopatin on “Saturday Night Live”.

After Hours holds many of the appearances of past Weeknd albums, in large part thanks to its cast of collaborators. He debuted a new look with showy sunglasses, crimson suit, and with bloody nose.

According to media reports The Weeknd told about his album that the listener could find love, fear, friend, enemies, violence, loneliness, togetherness, angles and even demons in it.

Lyrically, the album opens with a suit of songs that shows the shred of regrets for relationship failure and a hint of self-reflection. In Album he is looking for reconciliation “Where are you now when I need you most?”

Singer’s single Blinding Light is No 1 in UK for five weeks and itblends nicely with album’s nostalgic palette.

The Production contribution includes Lopatin, Max Martin, Metro Boomin, Frank Dukes, Illangelo and many more.

Singer’s R&B’s musical palette  incorporate indie and electronic styles with high-flying vocal making the Weeknd an artist who stands in a genre all his own.
