The Problem with the Trailer

The first movie trailer was released on December 20th, 2016. However, IMAX released a wrong audio track behind the release. This mistake resulted in fans coming up with memes and video montages. Universal Pictures has so far released two trailers for the movie.

The first trailer shows an Army Helicopter retrieving the mummy and placing it on an aircraft. As soon as the plane is airborne, it gets engulfed by a storm with countless bats smashing through the screens of the pilots’ cockpit. The plane gradually plunges with engines catching fire, badly shaking and tumbling, hitting its passengers against its walls. One female passenger with Tom Cruise has her parachute accidentally opened and flies off into the sky. Tom Cruise, not able to get out of the plane, supposedly crashes with it and ends up in a morgue. He wakes up and gets out of the body bag to realize his whereabouts. After he is welcome into a new world of Gods and Monsters, the trailer shares a few of the movie’s other glimpses.

The second trailer is a lot more similar to a few scenes common with the first trailer. The second trailer goes the extra length to explain the princess’s lust for power which made her crazy enough to take her own father’s life. She is seen getting mummified and buried alive. The second trailer shows the monstrous stuff coming from the princess where she truly becomes the evil everyone dreaded. The trailer shows objects like cars flying, buildings getting demolished, and other destruction scenes where the princess is reclaiming the world the way she wants to see it.

The Mummy movies in the past have done great business all over the world on the box office. Let us see how the new movie will make its impact after release.
