TikTok Star Feroza Aziz Outraged Over What Happened

17-year-old TikTok star Feroza Aziz account got banned after she posted a three-part makeup tutorial in which she talked about the atrocious and inhuman treatment the Uyghurs Muslims were subjected to in China. The video went viral with more than a million views.

Shortly after that video went viral, her account was blocked, after which the American teen sent multiple emails to Dancebyte, the Hongkong based owner of the application asking them for a reason behind there action.

Reason behind TikTok Banning Feroza Ahmed Account

Eric Han, TikTok’s head of safety for the US, while commenting on the matter, said, “We adhere to strict safety policies to prevent any kind of discrepancies. The type of strict regulatory laws our application is subjected to in China are very different from those we adhere to here in the US.”

“The main reason behind blocking her account is not political, but it’s due to a previous video she posted through another account that contained a picture of Osama bin Laden” Han added. Unlike other social media platforms where only your account gets blocked, TicTok bars you from making a second account from the same device. If any attempts are made, the app displays a black screen. The company after some time reinstated her account and offered the teen a formal apology

After Facebook and Instagram, the Chinese application is the most downloaded entertainment application. According to a survey, the Chinese application has been downloaded more than 1.5 billion times globally.

Who Are Uyghur Muslims?

The Uyghur Muslim community is a minority Turkic ethnic group that lives in the Chinese province of Xinjiang. Over the past year and a half, members of this Muslim minority group have been taken from their homes and have been placed in internment camps where they have been subjected to some of the most heinous crimes which have sparked an international outcry of injustice which has so far gone unheard.

Anyone who enters the internment camps either dies or is never heard from again, forcing many to leave the country and seek refuge elsewhere.
