Tom Cruise Partners with NASA and SpaceX for First Movie in Space

Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise has partnered with NASA and Elon Musk’s SpaceX for a first ever movie in space.  According to reports Tom Cruise and Elon Musk’s SpaceX are working on a project with NASA that would be the first action-adventure film in outer space.

NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine has confirmed the news. He stated through his twitter handle that NASA was excited to work with Tom Cruise on something shot in International Space Station. He added that it was inspiring for new-generation and engineers to believe in the reality of NASA’s ambitions. The NASA spokesperson shared no further details about the first movie in space.   

In reply to this news about the first movie in Space, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk who is being trolled for his baby’s name shared his excitement and stated that it would be a fun.

Neither The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) nor SpaceX has confirmed SpaceX’s involvement in the first movie in Space.

The first-ever launch of astronauts to the International Space Station aboard a SpaceX spacecraft was slated on May 27. But there were neither speculations nor details were revealed about Tom being boarded those spacecraft.

NASA declined to provide any details and stated that more details about project will be revealed at appropriate time.

Aerospace company SpaceX has already announced that the company has planned to send four citizens into space to take a trip around the Earth’s orbit at the end of 2020 or in early 2021. The passengers were allowed to travel in company newly developed Crew Dragon spacecraft. The spacecraft was built as part of a contract with NASA to shuttle astronauts to and from the ISS.

Tom Cruise has already played the role of an astronaut in movie named Oblivion in which he rescued Earth’s natural resources from alien invaders.

Tom Cruise a Daredevil Stunt Performer

Tom Cruise 57 is known for his own daredevil performing stunts in his action movie Mission Impossible. Whether it is to climb the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai for “Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol” or hung off the side of a plane in “Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation” in 2015 Cruise has reportedly performed various stunts on his own.

Tom Cruise suffered from ankle injury back in 2017 while jumping from one rooftop to another for Mission: Impossible – Fallout movie. Despite halting the shooting Cruise continued with the scene.

Cruise’s next film is action sequel Top Gun: Maverick, in which he has played the role of the most famous Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell.

The film was slated to release in June but got delayed due to coronavirus pandemic and will now be launched in December.
