US Judge Blocks Trump’s Ban

A US Judge has blocked nationwide the Trump’s Ban on Muslims travelling to the United States by supporting the stance of two other states which have challenged the executive order embroiling the entire country into an unanticipated legal battle.

The US District Judge James L Robart in Seattle ruled Washington and Minnesota states standing the Trump challenge. The government lawyers supported Donald Trump’s verdict but the opposing lawyers were confident that they would succeed in getting the ban overturned. The ban has resulted in 60,000 people’s visa cancelled.

Robart said,

“The state has met its burden in demonstrating immediate and irreparable injury. This TRO (temporary restraining order) is granted on a nationwide basis.”

It remains to be seen what will happen to the fate of those people’s visas who have been waiting for it for years. However, Homeland Security officials have circulated an email asking employees to immediately comply with the ruling.

The spokesman for White House Sean Spicer released a statement, which read.

White House “will file an emergency stay of this outrageous order and defend the executive order of the President, which we believe is lawful and appropriate.”

The new statement of the White House released a new statement in which the word “outrageous statement” was removed.

“The president’s order is intended to protect the homeland and he has the constitutional authority and responsibility to protect the American people.”
