Yasir Hussain revealed the poster for his upcoming project titled Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer on social media. The actor would be playing the role of an infamous serial killer who sexually abused and murdered over 100 boys in Lahore, Pakistan. Movie fans have been expecting a lot from this project as it is going to be much different from typical romantic comedies.
Abu Aleeha is going to direct and write the screenplay for the film. It will be produced by Javed Ahmed under the banner of KKFilms. Other cast members include Ayesha Omar reportedly.

In the poster, Yasir appeared in the similar sweater the killer was wearing when the police arrested him publicly. People also noted that there was an uncanny resemblance between the actor and the deceased serial killer.
Director Abu Aleeha cited Yasir Hussain’s exceptional acting talent as the reason why he gave him this role. The film will be based on the investigation into serial murders of boys in 1999. Actor Ayesha Omar will play the character of a police officer who will lead the investigation.
Who Was Javed Iqbal?
Javed Iqbal admitted to killing over 100 boys after sexual assault, dismembering them, and then dissolving their remains in acid. He walked into the office of a media company and surrendered after confessing his crimes. The killer sent all the evidence to the authorities about how he killed his victims. They recovered children’s clothes, shoes, and bags from his house which he was keeping as trophies.
He was sentenced to death in the same way he killed his victims. However, the Interior Minister at the time, retired general, and Pakistan Muslim League N member, Moinuddin Haider disallowed such punishment. Regardless, Javed Iqbal committed suicide by hanging himself before any sentence could be carried out.

The viewers have admired the look of Yasir Hussain and can’t wait to see how Ayesha Omar will look like as a police officer. The director told the media that the crew will soon share the look of Omar alongside Hussain. Meanwhile, the social media users cannot stop talking about how the team has kept all technicalities in consideration. Especially the makeup artists who did their best in making Hussain look exactly like the infamous killer. At first, they didn’t even recognize that it was Hussain.
Viewers found the most exciting feature of the film to be its attempt to portray real societal issues. Folks believe that with a deeper insight into such stories, one can debate countless problems in the country that need urgent fixing because savagery still exists in some men. Not long ago, the case of Noor Mukadam also delivered the same lesson.
The film is scheduled to be released in the cinema but the date is not yet disclosed.
