The first film achieved milestones in terms of storytelling with Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, and Farhan himself. It was a definitive film of its generation that pondered the importance of self-discovery. Now the direction duo aims to achieve the same with the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara sequel.

According to the reports, the concept of the film will remain the same but the narrative will be contrary to the original one. The previous film arrived in 2011 and the production has been working on the idea of this story ever since. Farhan Akhtar will back in the director seat after 10 years of his last directorial project, Don 2.
The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara sequel movie will revolve around three girls embarking on an adventure together, just like the boys did in the first one. Akhtar has a few Bollywood actresses in mind that can deliver another memorable experience. However, he has probably finalized only one yet.

Various reports suggest that it is going to be Alia Bhatt in the lead role. She is going to replace Hrithik Roshan as the center of attention in the film. The film is set to release sometime in 2022. The Raazi actress already has a lot of projects lined up at the door. Reportedly, she is busy with the shootings of Brahmastra, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Darlings, RRR, and an unnamed Karan Johar film with co-star Ranveer Singh.
The popular actress is also likely to tie the knot with Ranbir Kapoor at the end of this year.
