3 Pakistani Cricketers Who Got Married Recently

It is the wedding season in Pakistan and the boys in green have also been busy. In the past 2 months, 3 Pakistani cricketers have tied the knot and another is on the horizon.

Here is the list of weddings that have taken place recently, and the one fans have been waiting eagerly for.

Haris Rauf

Pakistani bowler Haris Rauf got married to Muzna Masood Malik on December 24. Several players from the national squad and some former cricketers were present at the wedding. Shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal, and Lahore Qalandar’s co-owner Atif Rana also came to wish the star.

It was a private ceremony but the pictures and videos of the event made their way to social media. Folks couldn’t stop gushing over the good-looking couple. Many were also curious to know about the bride. According to reports, Haris Rauf and Muzna Malik were in a relationship for a long time.

Malik is a model working with several Pakistani fashion brands. Some sources indicated that she had over 50,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok. However, Rauf later clarified that her wife was not on social media so users must beware of accounts using her name and pictures.

Shan Masood

Left-handed batter Shan Masood followed in the footsteps of his Pakistani teammate on January 20. He got married to his long-time partner Nische Khan with Rukhsati still to come on January 27. Many sports personalities including Shahid Afridi, Imam-ul-Haq and Shadab Khan attended the Nikkah ceremony. Legends like Misbah-ul-Haq, Umar Gul, and Azhar Ali were also among the guests.

The cricketer recently made headlines for surprisingly being selected as the vice-captain for a 3-match ODI series against New Zealand. Masood plays for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in England and Multan Sultans in Pakistan.

Shadab Khan

Three days after Shan Masood’s news, Shadab Khan also announced his marriage on social media. Cricket fans were thrilled to learn that he got married to the daughter of legendary spinner Saqlain Mushtaq.

Unlike other couples, there are no wedding pictures of Shadab Khan on the internet. Instead, the all-rounder shared a post on Twitter requesting his followers to respect his and his family’s choices. The reports do not include the wife’s name because it was her choice to stay out of the limelight. In the end, the cricketer jokingly added that he would certainly accept “salami” (gift money) if anybody wanted to send it.

Shaheen Shah Afridi

The most anticipated wedding this year is of Pakistan’s star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi. The fast bowler is engaged to Shahid Afridi’s eldest daughter Ansha Afridi. The former captain confirmed the engagement in May 2021. He told the media that Ansha was currently busy with medical studies as she wanted to become a doctor. The wedding will reportedly take place on February 3.

Cricket fans celebrated the announcement on social media as their favourite cricketer was all set to marry their favourite legend’s daughter.
