Pakistan is currently witnessing a massive increase in coronavirus cases. For the first time in the last 48 days, the coronavirus cases have crossed the 2258 mark on March 10. According to the official website, 42164 tests have been sampled out of which more than 2000 people tested positive in the last 24 hours. Besides, the past 7 days moving average referring to covid cases is 1723. The government suspects it is an alarming situation and taking measures to control the unwanted spread.

Also, the government proposed that the people of age 60 and above are to be prioritized in terms of vaccination, in order to stop coronavirus cases in Pakistan from increasing.

The public has seen the government implementing lockdowns for safety purposes. Nonetheless, the authorities had to lift the lockdown in order to run the state affairs again. Also, the students were facing numerous problems regarding their studies during the lockdown period.
