Everything We Know About Tiger Vs Pathaan So Far

Bollywood fans are in for a treat as two of the industry’s most iconic characters will appear together in the upcoming spy-action thriller ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’. The highly anticipated film is expected to begin filming in January 2024, leaving fans eager to watch the clash of titans on the big screen. Salman Khan’s Tiger and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan were already blockbusters as standalone films. The idea of bringing them together in one movie is further scintillating for the cinephiles.

Viewers already enjoyed their brief camaraderie in the recent YRF Spyverse film Pathaan (2023). SRK starred in Pathaan as a secret agent much like SK in Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), and Tiger 3 (2023). The Pathaan film established that the 2 characters belonged in the same universe and even introduced an extended cameo of Tiger. A section of the audience was so thrilled that they demanded to see more of them in a James Bond/Mission Impossible-like franchise.

Although there is no official announcement about the latest addition to the spy universe, but it has never stopped netizens from speculating about the possibilities.

Is Tiger vs Pathaan Real?

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan and Salman Khan’s Tiger have already won a special place in the audience’s hearts with their respective films. Pathaan is a suave and sophisticated spy known for his wit and charm, while Tiger is a rugged and action-packed agent with unparalleled combat skills. Both of them have captivated audiences with their individual stories, and now it is probably time to pit them against one another to tell a different one.

There is no official announcement regarding this film but many prominent figures have made promising claims. Renowned Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh disclosed that this was indeed a reality and Siddharth Anand will direct the film.

Some reports from B-town also suggest that it will be one of India’s costliest films with a 300 Crore INR budget. These reports claim that SRK and SK will opt for taking 40% profit from the film rather than usual paychecks.

How Will the Story Go?

The name of the alleged title suggests both of these fan-favorite heroes will be on opposing ends, at least for the time being. Like in DC Universe’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, 2 protagonists remained in conflict until something mutually valuable brought them together. It is a common formula for movies with multiple stars so each one can feel equally important to the project.

The sky-high anticipation for ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’ can be seen on social media as fans eagerly speculate about the plot, action sequences, and chemistry between 2 Bollywood legends who have only made special appearances in each other’s movies after Karan Arjun (1995). Besides uniting 2 of the 3 Big Khans of Bollywood, the film is expected to be a visual extravaganza, packed with high-octane action, intense drama, and thrilling twists and turns that will keep the audience at the edge of their seats.

Meanwhile, some other concerns are also being aired regarding the lively fanbase of both actors. They do not hesitate from sharing their competitive spirit on social media, trying to assert their favorite star is better than the other. Here is a meme that shows what the audience will think happen to the cinema halls if this film is actually released.

Rumored Antagonist

The audience can say for sure that SRK and SK’s characters will be protagonists, which means someone else will be the big baddy. Considering the size of this project, Bollywood experts hinted that producers may bring in a huge name from Hollywood for the villainous part.

According to Indian media, the name constantly appearing is of Jason Momoa, who is known for his role as Aquaman in DC Universe. It was further repeated in various tweets and news articles, sparking wild excitement.

The film’s cast and crew have not verified any of these details but critics argued that it could be due to YRF keeping all the Spyverse franchise details under wraps.
