On October 3rd, The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained eight individuals for allegedly consuming, and dealing drugs at a cruise party at the Bombay coast. One of the remanded personalities was Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan. The officials arrested him under the suspicion that he had consumed weed. Usually, the star kid makes headlines due to his lifestyle and activities within the Bollywood industry but the latest incident is not something favoring his popularity. Several social media users and media channels have reported the news in a way that is making him look guilty. However, some celebrities have taken a stand against those who have already declared him a sinner. The actors expressed their support for him and his family and have requested the media not to jump to conclusions before the court’s verdict.
Celebrities Speaking Up for Aryan Khan
Bollywood is a name praised for many reasons but notorious for one particular thing is nepotism. Due to this term, many people assume that star kids do not have the right to be famous for no reason and therefore pass judgments. According to several people, this is one of the reasons why Aryan khan is facing heated comments on social media like he is the son of king khan thus no govt or law can touch him. Given the current situation and ongoing investigation, some celebrities started expressing their support for Sharukh khan and his son. Some talked about how media is portraying a negative image of Khan whereas, others are condoling SRK and his family to be strong.
Suniel Shetty Tells Media To Tone it Down a Bit
Suniel Shetty, a renowned actor who has also worked with SRK in multiple movies, stood up for Aryan since he realized that society and media are pressurizing him too much. He advised the platforms to stop judging and jumping to conclusions. Shetty also mentioned that defaming star kids is a universal thing that everyone does but cut him some slack and let him breathe. Suniel expressed his love for Aryan Khan and said that NCB caught many other people as well but since Khan has ties with Bollywood, he is the one facing all the heat.
Suchitra Krishnamoorthi Reacts to Criticism Against Khan
Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, a popular singer and actress expressed her anger at those discussing Bollywood and star kids. She posted on Twitter that people are simply targeting those with fame. There was no proof found against Khan hence defaming and criticizing the kid is uncalled for. Furthermore, she added it is always tough for parents to see their kids in pain. She also prayed for the Aryan and his family.
Pooja Bhatt Stands with Shahrukh Khan
The filmmaker and producer Pooja Bhatt posted on Twitter about her support for SRK. She said that Khan is strong enough to handle hardships but she is still standing with him in this difficult time which will soon be over.
Lastly, Salman khan also approaches Khan at his residence, Manat to support and supposedly help him with the crucial matter. According to social media posts, SRK always said that whenever his kids or he would face any problem, Salman will always come to help.
Insights About the Case
Other than Aryan Khan, NCP officials arrested two other popular figures included Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant. According to reports, all three were taken for the medical examination before getting detained at the NCP office. The names of the rest of the arrested people are, Ishmeet Chadha, Gromit Chopra, Mohak Jaiswal, Nupur Satija, and Vikrant Chhokar.
Reportedly, Narcotics Bureau confiscated more than 1.3 lakh cash, 21gm of charas, 13gm of cocaine, 22 pills of MDMA, and 5gm of mephedrone. They didn’t find anything on Khan but took him in custody under the suspicion that he had consumed Charas. Reportedly, if the charges on Aryan Khan turn out to be true, he will face one-year imprisonment and pay Rs 20,000, under Section 27 of the NDPS Act.
