Elon Musk’s transgender daughter has filed a petition in court to legally change her name, saying that she no longer wished to be related to her biological father in any “way, shape or form”. The petition for a name change is also adjoined with a request for another birth certificate with her new gender identity. Elon Musk daughter, who was formerly a male, wants to be recognized as a female.
Elon Musk Daughter Disowns Father
Formerly known as Xavier Alexander Musk wants to drop the billionaire’s name and take her mother’s maiden name, Justine Wilson Musk, who was the first wife of Tesla’s boss. According to reports, Elon Musk daughter wrote in the petition that she wanted to be known as Vivian Jenna Wilson. Besides her gender transition, her name change is also about an unexplained rift between daughter and father.
When the media approached the Tesla Boss for comment, he said that her daughter didn’t want to be a public figure so it was important to defend her privacy. He also urged the paparazzi to refrain from outing someone against their will as it was wrong. However, some media agencies still published the report.
LGBT Community Fires Back at Elon Musk
As the story gained attention on social media, many came forward to support Elon Musk daughter. The LGBT community was already pissed at Musk for making transphobic remarks back in 2020. The billionaire said “pronouns suck” which undermined the preference of trans people. Most of them would like to be referred to as “they/them” instead of him/her because they consider themselves non-binary. Even his ex-girlfriend Grimes, with whom he shared 2 children, refused to support him over the anti-trans comment. Ironically for Musk, Grimes has been dating a famous transgender whistleblower Chelsea Manning following a split from the billionaire. This has given all the more reason to the LGBT community to troll Elon Musk over his transphobic views.
Elon Musk’s Relationship with Vivian’s Mother
Elon Musk daughter Vivian’s mother Justine divorced the SpaceX founder after 8 years of marriage in 2008. She gave birth to twins, Griffen and Xavier (now Vivian), in 2004 through in vitro fertilization (IVF) and triplets, Damien, Saxon, and Kai, in 2006. Justine wrote a bombshell piece in 2010 in which she gave some insight into her marriage with the world’s richest person.
She said that Musk was brought up in a male-dominated South African culture with a will to compete and dominate in the business world as well. However, he also brought the same attitude to home, which developed a particular dynamic over the years. She said Elon’s judgement began to overrule hers as he always felt she was lacking somehow. When she would say, “I am your wife, not your employee”, he would respond by saying, “If you were my employee, I would fire you”.
Despite Justine being a successful novelist, the power and economic imbalance between the two prevailed over thier relationship. She then decided to divorce Musk and raise the children out of the limelight. Both of them share custody of their 5 children. On the other hand, Elon Musk is all over the headlines due to his 44 billion USD Twitter takeover bid. Recently, Twitter investors sued him and the platform for misleading the public over the ongoing deal.
