ICC Experts Satisfied From Security for PSL 3 Final in Karachi

International Experts have expressed their satisfaction over the security of PSL 3 final in Karachi. ICC’s security consultant Reg Dickason who was in the city to review the security plan for the final match of the PSL season 3 has shown appeasement.

Reg Dickason addressed a news conference in National Stadium Karachi and briefed the media about his review process for security measures of PSL 3 final in Karachi. He told about how officials of security agencies informed him about the related arrangements, and he found them up to the mark.

Security officials had also arranged a full dress rehearsal to demonstrate their security plan to ensure safe and secure conclusion of PSL 3 final. Reviewers got to know how safe it would be for the team to move from airport to hotel, hotel to venue and then back to the airport.

To express his satisfaction, Dickason said, “From what we have seen and what was demonstrated and documentation and level of commitment by all these people here, I am very very satisfied.”

He also elaborated on the comprehensiveness of the presentation that Chairman PCB Najam Sethi and security officials from Pakistan cricket board gave in collaboration with security agencies.

International Cricket in Pakistan

PSL 3 final will also bring international cricket back to Karachi, the economic hub of Pakistan. Last year Pakistanis saw a glimpse of the International cricket’s comeback to the country in the form of PSL 2 Final in Lahore. Later, in the same year, World XI’s tour to Pakistan also allowed the Pakistani cricket fans to enjoy some international level matches on home ground.

Last time, it was in 2009, when Karachi hosted an international test match between Pakistan and Sir Lanka. This year the city is the venue for PSL 3 final, which is a good omen for cricket fans in Pakistan.

PSL 3 Schedule

PSL 3 will Kickstart on Thursday, February 22 in U.A.E. The first match will take place between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultan. PSL 2018 anthem Dil Se Jan Laga De, by Ali Zafar, has already been released. Fans are already looking towards the event which is bringing an air of festivity, right in the spring season from last two years. The country’s cricket league has proved to be a huge success, as it has also introduced new talent to the international team, leading it to win ICC champion trophy final against India. Now, the holding of PSL 3 final in Karachi will bring more enthusiasm to the event, as more fans will be able to watch the event live.
