Pakistani Celebrities Who Got Married during Coronavirus Lockdown

Who says love cannot bloom during a pandemic? Just like many other simple and intimate weddings in the country, Pakistani celebrities also tied the knot given the opportunity. During the lockdown, marriage halls were closed which allowed the event to be less expensive than usual.

Due to social distancing rules (if followed by any), only a few family members would be able to attend.

Pakistani Celebrities Celebrating Wedding During Coronavirus Lockdown

Simplified weddings turned out to be one of the many positives of lockdown and Pakistani celebrities spread that message out in the public.

Sajjal Ali & Ahad Raza Mir

Pakistani tv drama fans are crazy for this cute couple and termed it as a fairy tale wedding. These Pakistani celebrities had a destination wedding at Abu Dhabi on 14th March. The pictures of their wedding ceremony kept flooding the internet for a good amount of time. They returned to Pakistan soon after getting married. At that time the virus was spreading at a normal rate and new cases were just starting to get reported.

Faryal Mehmood & Daniyal Raheel

Laal Ishq actress Faryal Mehmood and Daniyal Raheal were dating for a long time and were open about their relationship. They also tied the knot in this opportune moment to have a simple yet intimate ceremony. The wedding was on 28th May and the family of the bride cheered for the couple from the United States. Daniyal is the son of famous veteren actress Simi Raheel.

Samina Ahmed & Manzer Sehbai

Tv drama fans went gaga over these legendary Pakistani celebrities who got married to each other at an old age. People applauded this marriage of Sameena Ahmed and Manzar Sehbai for breaking multiple stereotypes and setting a new example for the society. Most people live their entire lives without a partner after the failure of a few relationships or the death of their first partner. This couple was also a hope for those who are tired of early marriages that are so common in Pakistani society.

Hina Altaf & Agha Ali

Hina Altaf and Agha Ali got married on 23rd May. The wedding was confirmed after Udaari drama’s actress shared an intimate photo with her husband. Agha Ali is the son of late vintage actor Agha Sikander who was the brother of Waseem Abbas. He was previously engaged to fellow actress Sara Khan whom he parted ways with in 2019.

Sadaf Kanwal & Shehroz Sabzwari

Arguably the most controversial couple on the list. Shehroz and Sadaf Nikah hurt a lot of tv drama fans and they deemed it wrong on so many levels. People spent all the love and wish on Syra Yousaf, Sabzwari’s previous wife. She displayed absolute grace in walking away from the controversy with a 6-year-old daughter; a stance which was greatly appreciated by many tv drama fans.
