Who is Sonam Bajwa?
Sonampreet Bajwa was born in 1989 in Nanakmatta, Uttarakhand, India. She was into modelling from a very young age and wanted to become Miss India. Her passion led her to compete in Femina Miss India 2012 and become one of the finalists. Although she could not win, she was able to make many fans and got noticed across the country. After the beauty competition, she got an offer for a Punjabi film, Best of Luck (2013).

She gained immense popularity after working in 2014 film Punjab 1984. Then it was no stopping her as she started to appear in many hit Punjabi films. Some of her top works include Carry On Jatta 2, Sher Bagga, Jind Mahi, Manje Bistre, Nikka Zaildar, Super Singh, Muklawa, Kaatteri, and many more.
She also worked in Bollywood but only in a song called “Bala” from 2019 film “Naah Goriye”. About working in Bollywood, she claimed that she would not take on any assignment that involves a kissing scene. She said this was the reason she never worked in Bollywood because almost all movies require kissing scenes.
Bajwa was also linked with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Happy New Year but due to her refusal to do kissing scene, the role went to Deepika Padukone.
