All Achievements of The Legend of Maula Jatt So Far

Bilal Lashari’s The Legend of Maula Jatt (TLOMJ) has not only amazed the local audience but also electrified international cinema. The Punjabi-language film came out on October 13 and broke global records within a matter of days. The fantasy action was a remake of a cult classic, Maula Jatt (1979), with a fresh angle.

The story follows a vicious prizefighter named Maula Jatt on his quest for revenge. His arch nemesis Noori Natt is equally dreadful and the most feared warrior in the fictional land of Punjab. Besides extreme violence and gore, the film also discusses challenges regarding family, loyalty, honour, and justice.

International publications have dubbed it a romance between ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Gladiator’. Critics praised the film for its direction, acting, background score, action, and special effects. The tremendous cast included Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malik, and Gohar Rasheed in key roles. The visual effects crew included Brian Adler of the ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and ‘Avatar: The Way of the Water’ as one of the supervisors.

The appreciation becomes further clear when looking at the numbers. Here are all of the achievements made by this epic saga.
