People from the Indian and Pakistani origin are very well familiar with Sattu Sherbat. This drink contains sattu (A ground form of roasted wheat or chickpeas). The process of making this drink is much easy. One just needs to take chilled water, add sattu and sugar to it and then stir the mixture. You can control the quantity of sattu and sugar according to your preferences or use a pinch of black salt to add variations to taste. Sattu Sherbat not only offers cooling effect to the body but it also acts as the great source of protein energy.

3. Lemon Shakanjbeen

Lemon Shakanjbeen is one of the most popular desi drinks famous in sub-continent. It is not merely a cure of summer heat but also a temporary remedy for dizziness and blood pressure related issues. Just like other above-mentioned recipes, Lemon Shakanjbeen is so easy to prepare. One just needs to add lemon juice, 2-3 tablespoons of sugar and 1/4 tablespoon of salt in a glass of chilled water and mix the contents thoroughly.

4. Almond Milk

Almond Milk is commonly known as Sardai or Thandai. This drink is not a simple mixture of milk and almonds but also contains the ingredients like poppy seeds. Making almond milk might take longer as it requires separately soaking the almonds and poppy seeds in water overnight. But, the process of making this drink is quite easy. Just make a thick paste of almonds with water by blending them. Now pour the liquid through a fine cloth, and put the mixture in the water again, but this time with poppy seeds. Now, thoroughly blend the mixture and drain it back through a fine cloth. Finally, stir the drink after adding cardamom powder and sugar to it. Now, serve the drink with pistachio dressing.

You can also add dried plums without seeds.
