The Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez is the latest hot topic of the day due to her connection with an extortionist, Sukesh Chandrasekhar, also known by Balaji. The extortionist and her supposed girlfriend, Leena Maria Paul, were arrested in 2011, but both were released on bail. Balaji conned more than 100 people by ripping them of Rs 75 crores. Moreover, he posed as a politician’s relative, promised people to get them jobs, and took their money. In April 2017, the police arrested him and lodged him in Tihar jail for being involved in the infamous Election Commission (EC) bribery case.
Jacqueline Fernandez Denies her Connection with Sukesh
Reportedly, the Enforcement Directorate agency summoned Jacqueline Fernandez as a witness to inquire about her connection with Sukesh and his Rs 200 crore fraud. Fernandez’s spokesperson denied her association with the conman as he said that she was neither involved romantically nor in any other way with Balaji. The representative also added that the actress would comply and fully cooperate with the investigation.
Sukesh’s Lawyer Contradicts with Jacqueline
As per the reports, Anant Malik, the lawyer and representative of Chandrasekhar, addressed that Jacqueline Fernandez and Balaji were having a romantic relationship and dating for a while. Also, the picture on social media showing how the actress is holding him close and kissing him tells the same story that both individuals have been sharing special moments, according to general assumptions.
Is Sukesh Conning the Bollywood Celebrities Too?
It isn’t the first time ED has inquired Jacqueline Fernandez and suspected her to be associated with Chandrasekhar. Before that, the agency questioned her along with the Bollywood star Nora Fatehi in the money laundering case on October 14, 2021. Both actresses claimed that Sukesh conned them both, and they had nothing to do with his crimes.
