Countries in the northern hemisphere may be singing to the tune of “Baby, it’s cold outside,” but residents in Dubai are singing a different tune. They are making the most of winters by heading to the beach!
The winters in Dubai may come as a surprise to many who associate it with a chilly wind, sleet, and snow. Many prefer to cover up and stay indoors. However, in Dubai, residents are enjoying a desirable weather by going to pearly-white beaches while looking beach body beautiful.
According to Trip.com, “Dubai’s weather forecast is hot, sometimes more humid. Winter has the mildest temperatures which mean it’s the perfect time to hit the beach”.
On average, the daytime winter temperature is 24ºC whereas, in summers, temperature rises to 50ºC. If you prefer to avoid the sweltering heat, make the most of your winter by heading to a beautiful beach. Be it Jumeirah Beach or Mamzar Beach; Each beach is looked after well and compromises of stretches of golden sand and grassy areas. Visitors can work on their tan, swim for hours on end or have fun participating in a variety of excursions including fly boarding or stand up paddle boarding.
Regardless of what you choose to do, you will have more fun if you look and feel your personal best. That’s not easy to pull off after having children, but if you are on a mission to get bikini ready, you can consider doing the following:
1. Tone Your Body
Sarah Vrancken, Pilates expert and mother of two, advocates taking up Pilates. You can either work one-on-one with a certified trainer or attend a post-natal group session.
Pilates will help you tone up for your two-piece without having to lift heavy weights. If you prefer to exercise at home, then all you need is a yoga mat and a good Internet connection.
Be sure to search flab-firming toning exercises. Popular exercises include plank, squat and inchworm. You can sculpt your entire body if you follow this routine rigorously. Not only will you look great, but your husband will especially be thankful to you.
2. Dress to Impress
When you’re about to hit the sand, you want to be sure to wear gear that is in fashion. One-piece swimsuits and tankinis are excellent choices for those who want to cover up tricky areas.
However, if you are bold enough, try on a bikini with cutout details or a colorful one that will catch everyone’s attention. You can also opt for a kaftan or a beach dress. The perfect accessories are mirrored shades, suede espadrilles, and wide-brimmed sun hats.
3. Strip those Hair
Many of us are tempted to wear full-sleeved clothing during the winters. It not only helps us to keep warm, but it also covers up unwanted hair on our body. If you want to go to the beach this winter, then say goodbye to your hairy arms and legs.
We suggest that you head to a salon that will give you a full body waxing treatment. Search on Groupon for a good deal and while you’re there, get a facial, manicure and pedicure as well. Once buffed, you’ll be tempted to climb into your swimsuit and head to the beach with your littlies.
