Lahore Celebrates PSL 7 Final Victory with Fireworks

The 7th edition of Pakistan Super League has come to an end with an entertaining match. PSL 7 that was between Lahore Qalanders and defending champions Multan Sultans was no less than a treat for cricket fans in Pakistan. As the final ball was thrown before the Multan’s player, the crowd knew that the match was over and Lahore had tasted the victory by 42 runs. Other than the last shot, there were some fine moments of the match that proved an ultimate entertainment; but the highlight of the event was the fact that Lahore Qalandars which is one of the most favorite teams of PSL had one this tournament for the first time hence there indeed was a reason for Lahoris to rejoice over this victory.

The captain of Lahore Qalandars Shaheen Shah Afridi is only 21 years old; hence he is the youngest captain to win any major cricket league in the world.

Lahore Rocks with Fireworks for PSL 7 Celebrations

As soon as the last shot was played by Imran Tahir from Multan Sultans and he lost the wicket over a catch, the Lahoris went crazy. The win followed fireworks in the sky. The liberty roundabout became overcrowded since people were watching the match live there on a big screen. The loud music, dancing, cheering, and hooting of people, was screaming that it was the victory of Lahore Qalandars. Folks on social media also seemed overwhelmed with the joy. Some even captioned that it looked like people were celebrating August 14, Independence Day.

Home Ground Winning

For many, the best part was the home ground winning since the match was played in Lahore and the trophy came home by Lahore Qalandars. People were excited before the PSL 7 final match since they were already wishing the team and people of Lahore good luck.

Moreover, the crowd in different areas of the city were chanting “trophy comes home” after the match was over, reportedly. Just like there were Karachi Kings memes that taunted Karachi Kings for its poor performance throughout the tournamnet there were some Lahore Qalandars that summed up what it was for the team of passionate Fawad Rana to win the PSL 7 final.

Best Moments of PSL Final

PSL 2022 was a great tournament that ended with a good match too, especially for the fans of Lahore Qalandars. People have been recalling and talking about the finest moments of the PSL 7 final. One of the moments that people are currently talking about is the hug that Muhammad Rizwan, the captain of Multan Sultans gave to Shaheen Afridi. He came right after the final ball that ended the PSL 7 and congratulated Afridi and the rest of the team. The public loved his sportsman spirit as he embraced the defeat and appreciated his rivals.

Other than that, the best moments include the low-grade fielding of Lahore Qalandars in the last two overs. They were not even trying to catch the ball as they already knew that they had won, according to fans. 

Lastly, David Wiese, the Namibia cricketer’s fans flooded the internet with praises and wishes after the match and declared him the finest of all who made the victory happen. Wiese himself posted the picture of the entire team and cherished the PSL 7 last match. He captioned the post  “Champions, What a night!!”
