Pakistan banned Mia Khalifa’s TikTok account a couple of days ago and stated no particular reason. The former porn star learned of the development from the social media users, who were enraged at such an illogical decision by the Pakistani government.
The actress was also shocked because it was really uncalled for. Her supporters expressed their disappointment with the authorities especially after Mia stopped promoting the porn industry. In fact, she was very vocal about the Palestinian Issue like other stars.
It was not clear on what grounds PTI led government banned her TikTok account.
No Worries, There Will be Mia Khalifa’s TikTok on Twitter
Pakistan may have banned Mia Khalifa’s TikTok account but the actress has vowed to her Pakistani fans that she will not forsake them. She stated that she will keep posting her TikTok videos on Twitter as well, which is home to more than 20 million Pakistani users. People already appreciated her active role in raising her voice for institutional atrocities across the world.
Mia said that she used OnlyFans just like Instagram but without Terms of Services. She has raised funds for charities from the platform where horny people were supposed to watch naked cam shows.
Is Mia’s Activism a Problem for Pakistani Government?
Before Palestinians, she has also raised her voice for Indian farmers, who are protesting for their economic rights from the Indian government. She actively uses her platforms to raise voice for marginalized communities and posted similar mostly content on TikTok. She even used her OnlyFans account to support others instead of promoting nudity.
The government has done it far too many times whenever it comes to things related to TikTok. It has banned it multiple times in the past, by citing immoral content as the reason. Eventually, the government had to reinstate it due to scathing criticism from the users.
Banning Mia Khalifa’s TikTok did not make sense to many given her input in canceling misinformation regarding the Palestine cause.
Exposing Hypocrisy of Pakistan
Social media users also found out that this whole scenario only exposed the Pakistani government as hypocritical because they recently called out Israel for controlling the media narrative. Therefore, they themselves banning Mia Khalifa’s TikTok on the other hand implied that the government had similar powers over the country’s media.
