Worth Watching Moments from PSL 2019 Opening Ceremony

Opening ceremony for the 4th season of Pakistan Super League took place in Dubai on February 14. The vibrant and fun enriched event was a treat to watch just like those of previous seasons. PSL 2019 Opening ceremony, was more special for Pakistanis as they got to watch performance by Junoon and a rendition of Nazia Hassan songs by Aima Baig and Shuja Haider.

Cultural Minister of U.A.E (United Arab Emirates), Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubrak Bin Nahyan also attended the event.

The ceremony featured some high-end performances applauded by enthusiastic and charged crowd.

PSL 2019 Opening Ceremony Highlights

The ceremony began by Pakistan’s national anthem. Then came a marching band that played the 1992, World Cup fame, Final Countdown. The spectators also got to watch a display of dancing lights and fireworks.

Performance by Boney M

Just like PSL 2018 Opening ceremony this year’s event also had performance from international bands. Daddy Cool by famous Boney M along with its trade mark set design was simply awesome.

Junoon’s Performance Was A Big Win

Junoon’s performance on songs like Yaro Yehi Dosti Hai, and Hai Jazba Junoon to Himmat Na Haar, was one of the worth watching moments of PSL 2019 Opening Ceremony. Fans had already started counting on Ali Azmat after they heard the news of American rapper Pitbull not being able to perform in the event.

Aima Baig and Shuja Haider

The rendition of legendary Nazia Hassan’s songs by Aima Baig and Shuja Haider was another entertaining moment of PSL 2019 Opening ceremony. The audience was simply going gaga over Aima Baig’s presence on the stage.

Fawad Khan and Young Desi

Well PSL4 anthem by Fawad Khan didn’t receive much appreciation from the fans. But, singer’s performance on the same song accompanied with emerging Pakistani rapper Young Desi was a big win. It was just a desi touch to the dynamic performances of this evening.

It was during Fawad Khan’s performance that all the teams including Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans made their way to Stadium.

Then began the first match of the season between defending Champion Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars.
